What we do Last updated or reviewed on April 23, 2024 The Capital Projects Department is comprised of a Construction Division and Facility Management Division. The Construction Division consists of four (4) programs including; Building Construction Program, Innovation District Program, Parks and Recreation Program, and Transportation Program. The Facility Management Division consists of two (2) programs including; City Hall Operations Division and Facility Maintenance Division. The department’s main objectives are to plan, budget, design, and manage projects as well as maintaining our current facilities. We strive to ensure projects are built on time and within budget. We promote an equitable, collaborative system for prioritizing maintenance and construction of capital assets that will allow for clear communication of budgetary needs and alignment with organizational priorities and values. We seek to help develop and practice procurement for all levels of contracting that actively and intentionally seek to increase equity and inclusion in project initiation, development, design, and construction.
