What we do

Information Technology Services (ITS) is made up of four divisions:

  • Support Services is the first point of contact for people with ITS questions and problems.  You can reach them by calling (828) 251-4000.
  • Technical Services is responsible for security, infrastructure, sustainability, service reliability, data quality, and communication systems.
  • Administrative Services manages personnel, budget, procurement, performance metrics, and business reporting.
  • Business and Public Technology supports and creates tools to improve decision making, increase efficiency, and support a culture of accountability, openness, and collaboration.

ITS strives to provide a high level of customer service by providing quality technical deliverables with professionalism and responsiveness. We adhere to principles of technical and fiscal stewardship with an end goal of a high quality of life for employees and citizens.
