Learn about home composting at free workshops

 

Composting is the ultimate in home-based recycling. Through composting, you can feed your landscape, not the landfill. When added to the garden, compost conditions our heavy North Carolina clay soil so that plants grow better and faster.

The City of Asheville partners with Asheville Greenworks for composting education, including these upcoming composting workshops:

  • Dec. 18, 6 to 7 p.m., West Asheville Library, 942 Haywood Road
  • Jan. 8, 6 to 7 p.m., South Buncombe Library, 260 Overlook Road
  • Jan. 24, 6 to 7 p.m., Whole Foods, 4 S. Tunnel Road
  • Feb. 20, 6 to 7 p.m., Dr. Wesley Grant Sr. Southside Center, 285 Livingston St.
