All dogs and cats six months of age or older must either be spayed or neutered,

or the owner must possess an Unaltered Pet Permit.

 


The Unaltered Pet Permit fee is $100 for the lifetime of the animal and may be purchased at the Permit Application Center located at 161 S. Charlotte Street; open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (closed public holidays). 

 

The fine for violating this requirement is $200.
